Matthew was very accommodating as we were trying to decide on an appointment time. Finally we did. He showed up on time and did his magic on my very old, out of tune piano. It sounds so much better now. But more than that, he’s just a very nice, polite guy. I felt totally comfortable having him in my home to work on my piano. I will definitely use him again, and won’t wait nearly as many years this time, especially now that I know someone dependable to service it.
Matthew has been tuning our baby grand piano for a few years now and he always does an excellent job! In fact, we wouldn’t want anyone else to tune our piano! Our piano always sounds so amazing and in perfect tune after he finishes working on it. He makes the scheduling process easy and you can depend on him to show up at the agreed about time. Matthew always helps proactively to keep me on schedule with my tuning. Texting is a great communication tool he uses to let me know that he will be tuning in my area when my piano is up for its biannual checkup. Between the two of us, we keep my Pramberger 6’10” sounding as beautiful as it looks and protect its value by doing so. He has a good ear and has been a big help with my crazy professional schedule. I love to hear him test drive it when he is finished on the times I get to be present for the tuning. Many times though he tunes with my proxy there — mother-in-law, daughters, etc. I trust him that well that I do not worry if my ear is not there to monitor him. I have yet to be disappointed with his results. Matthew has been my piano technician for many years.
Matt has tuned my piano since I moved to the area several years ago. Most recently, my piano was overdue for a tuning and had a squeaky key that was driving me crazy. The piano was good as new by the time he left. Matt always provides good communication and a flexible schedule. The recent addition of email receipts are a nice bonus as well, since I could never find the paper ones to see when I was due for a tuning. I hope to continue to use his services for years to come.

Matthew did a great job and I highly recommend him. I have a crazy work schedule and he was willing to be flexible for me. He tuned my 50 yr old piano up great and helped to adjust the pedal for the dampener.
I have been using piano tuners in Houston for 45 years. In my opinion, Matthew Todd is awesome and is one of the best tuners I’ve known. Matthew is the best piano technician I have ever contracted. He not only is diligent to keep up with the scheduled maintenance of our piano, but has given extraordinary efforts to ensure our instrument performs to our expectations. At one point we began having issues with dampers sticking randomly, but couldn’t ever seem to get the piano to duplicate the problem for him. Not only did he investigate the problem thoroughly, involving many site visits, but he also contacted the dealer and arranged for further investigation. Not only did this lead to resolving this issue, but he has been faithful to continue to check in on the performance of the instrument in case there were any other issues. As a great bonus, Matthew is an incredible pianist, and he is an amazing accompanist, should you ever have the need.

Matt has been keeping my piano in tune for about 5 years. He is very reliable, reminds me yearly when it is time for a tuning and arrives promptly to take care of it. I couldn’t ask for better service.

Matthew Todd arrived at my house on time to raise the pitch and tune my piano that basically has not been touched in about 7 years. He was extremely courteous and cordial and answered any and all questions that I had (even when I felt as though I interrupted him, he was nice as can be). It took him about two hours, it was WAY out of tune, and it now sounds fabulous. On top of it, when he was finished saying goodbye he made a new friend by asking if he could give my dog Baby a treat from her cookie jar. I’m very pleased with his work, personality and service. I will certainly use Matthew for a long time to come.
